Food: Gun Town’s Smith’s Country Store is conveniently located at the bottom of the Mountain. Here you will find some of the freshest and tastiest Ham, Bacon, etc, that you will ever eat. The store has snacks, gifts, souvenirs, and more. Once you visit the store, take a ride on the variety of carnival/festival rides. You will also want to visit the boutiques, since here you will see the seven-legged calf. The calf was preserved for viewing. Gun Town Mountain is just a hop-skip-and-jump down the road from Mammoth Cave. Along the way are a variety of amusement parks. This area is ideal for anyone wanting to take a vacation, yet save money. The amusement parks (Depends) give you a day pass for as little as $13. You can camp in surrounding campgrounds for free. Lastly, Barren River State Park, Airplane Slides, Dinosaur World, Mike’s Mystery House, Jelly Stone Park, and more are all areas you will want to visit near Cave City, Kentucky.
